  9. Hi Cindy! I don't have any advice on raw food, but I just wanted to say hi since I'm in Madison as well!
  10. So glad to hear she's home and on the mend! Re: the bowel movements, I know that pain meds can cause constipation, and that roughed-up muscles make 'going' quite painful and difficult...maybe the vet will prescribe a stool softener?

  16. Sorry to hijack, but Gia's nose has starting looking like this (as well as her upper lip) and while we haven't taken her to the vet yet, we've pretty much self-diagnosed lupus. (The vet visit is coming soon, I promise!). Is there anything that goes along with this disease other than the facial disfigurement?
  17. Oh that is SUCH good news!!!!!!! I'm so glad you went ahead with the MRI and now have so much lifted from your shoulders!
  18. I see that you've gone ahead with it. I know how you feel right now, and I'm thinking of you and sending strong energy. The best of luck to you.
  19. Kim, we had an MRI done on Butkus, and yes, it was worth it. It showed that he had a glioma brain tumor, and having an MRI-verified glioma is what made him eligible for the clinical trial at the University of Minnesota that has saved many dogs' lives. While Butkus was too far gone to be cured, it gave us valuable extra time with him. It was SO worth it...Please let me know if you'd like information on the study or just to talk....I've been keeping you and Rainey in my thoughts.
