Guest MaxPower
I haven't been here in a couple of days, but Feb. 18 was the third anniversary of my friend Jazz's death... jazz was a blue meral collie... He adopted us when he was a year old.. We were at a dogshow(my wife and I) and we saw this breeder that we had met before.. She told us that she had 11 year old collies that she "could not get rid of" and they were going to be put down.. would we like one? the next day we took the drive out to her kennel.. We saw 10 collies of different colors jumping around getting our attention... But there was this one who just came up to us and stayed there , basicly waiting to leave with us.. He watched us play with the other dogs but whenit was time to go,we left with him.. our Jazz. He stayed with us for 11years until he finally developed a tumor on his spine. within a few months he could no longer walk.. he was not in any pain so I carried him out and held him when he had to go to the bathroom.. He hung out in the living room, still wanting to be where everyone was.. Finally we could see that it was getting painful for him to be here.. we helped him to the bridge..It was singularly the most painful event in my life at that point... My , then 11year old wrote him a poem and he is still greatly missed... Jazz , you will never be forgotten pal... Run free ... I'll see you when it's time.... Fiona3
Jazz was a very big part of your life and you gave him a wonderful home. He will always be in your heart. We always miss those lovely dogs who have gone before us, no matter how long or short a time it was. That is a lovely poem and you will be with him again someday. Batmom
Jazz, when you were here it sounds like you adopted some folks who needed you and made a big difference in their lives. Hope you are getting the chance to do the same over the bridge. Good boy!
