Front leg doesn't flex as it should

Recommended Posts

We just bought a greyhound jumper for our Bambi, one with the leg holes in the front.

I couldn't get it on her.  I thought it was sized wrong, but then I realised that the problem was that when I said "leggy" and bent/folded her leg into the leg hole, her left leg came up against her chest as normal but the right one only came up half way and was all stiff. Couldn't get it in the leg hole. Obviously will bring this up at the vets when she goes there later this week, but has anyone else encountered this?  Might it be an old injury?

She does not limp or show any pain or problem with this leg.

Thanks

My hounds also have difficulty getting that second front leg into a coat but I found that by keeping the coat closer to the floor and placing their legs into the leg holes then pulling the coat up, it goes just fine. Maybe try that!

Or put that leg in first.  Or get jumpers without legs and use boots.

Definitely needs a vet visit.
