Even after decades with greyhounds, I still run across safety tips I never heard before. For instance, I didn't realize that on July 4th, more pets get lost than any other day of the year. JenniferS Posted July 15, 2021 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Musher's Secret which is used to protect paw pads in the winter can also help in the summer for hot pavement (but best to avoid hot pavement altogether if you can). Check collars, leashes & harnesses for fit, wear and tear. Add a carabiner clip to your leash as a backup should the hardware fail or get stuck on something.
