Bizarre vomit

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

picture attached. It won’t let me attach the picture!!
My old girl occasionally vomits what appears to be hard rubber like vomit. Some in chunks and some that look like squid tubes. Grey/white in colour. Some are like thick globules of fat. Iv even tried cutting it up with a sharp knife but knife won’t cut it. The smell is so pungent it makes me heave. Iv also seen some in her poo.
She not the type to eat weird things.
anyone else experienced this and found out what it could be. Vet isn’t concerned! She does  eat raw bones. Don’t eat hide chews.
thank you

Some dogs don't process bones completely and that stuff has to get out somehow, one way or another.  You might consider cutting back on the number or the size of the bones she's eating - switch to chicken necks or wings, or something that can be more easily processed by her system.

what raw bones?  Some times my dogs hork up the joints from chicken quarters.  It is more cartilage-looking, if that makes sense.  If it aren't digested within 12 hours or so (based on my dog's personal digestive tract), up it comes.  Usually on carpet lol.
