JohnnyBoy
Hi all, my 4 year old Johnny has a spot on his foot that seems to be wearing away and becoming a wound. Johnny's right rear foot has a deformed toe and I suspect it makes his foot hit the ground in a different way than the other, non-deformed feet. Do you have any suggestions on how to handle something like this? I'm concerned a balm will soften the skin and make things worse. cleptogrey
Keep his nail short and look into thera paw bootie. They tend to keep the paw hot so take it off when not on walks. Trace the paw while the dog is standing and check the company's size chart.
JohnnyBoy
Excellent advice. Thank you! I'll look into those booties.
smurfette
In the meantime you can put a baby sock on his foot and secure it with a hair tie (those soft ones). Here is Saoirse when she hurt her paws in the infamous hot air balloon incident last year. Edited March 31, 2019 by smurfette Quote Sorry for butchering the english language. I try to keep the mistakes to a minimum. Nadine with Paddy (Zippy Mullane), Saoirse (Lizzie Be Nice), Abu (Cillowen Abu) and bridge angels Colin (Dessies Hero) and Andy (Riot Officer).
