Contact GT member "cello." Carol Ann has a PLN dog - Lady - that she's been very successful in managing! I think she feeds Lady a combo of pasta, boiled chicken, and rx kibble.

All I can suggest is the sort of things we've fed our kidney disease dogs -- lower protein, lower sodium sorts of things. Rice or pasta or low-additive cereals like shredded wheat and cheerios; cooked hamburger or chicken or eggs or lower sodium fish; a dusting of Parmesan cheese or squirt of honey or dollop of vanilla ice cream/yogurt ..... If she has lost a lot of weight you might have to start with what WILL she eat and work your way back to a version of that that is better for her. Most of my dogs have enjoyed and tolerated a small scoop of vanilla ice cream daily; a small serving of spaghettios (kinda high in sodium but I understand they're good! :lol ) ; scrambled eggs; a little minced poached chicken liver with the cooking broth; canned green tripe (Tripett brand or Solid Gold Green Cow). Hope you can find something that works for her and helps her to feel well.

Lady has Protein Losing Enteropathy - not Neuropathy. That means that Lady is losing protein at a cellular level through her digestive track - not through her kidneys. I am not sure if the two diseases have similar treatments as far as diets go. Lady has to be ULTRA LOW FAT. I PM'd the original poster and filled her in on Lady's story. Wishing the best for the pup.

Carol Ann.
