Walliered
I am taking Lady and DaVid in tomorrow for corn hulling. While I am there I would like to have blood work done on her. It is time for her yearly physical, though my Vet checks her out every time she is there. What kind of blood work should I ask her to do? She is 9 1/2 years old. Thanks
macoduck
At this age I do a senior panel that includes the CBC, chem panel, fecal. Add urinalysis if it's been a while since that was done. Better to catch kidney problems early. Fingers crossed for an uneventful visit. Guest normaandburrell
Thyroid tests. Make sure your vet knows the difference in values for greyhounds from other breeds.
Walliered
My Vet said all of Lady's blood work came back fine. Then she said one figure was a little high, but that could be because of a lot of exercise. I told her we walked an hour or so a day. Anyone know what she is talking about? I will have to call her office tomorrow and ask someone.
tbhounds
Ck (creatine kinase) ? That number can go down within hours. Often it can elevate just with the pet shaking during the trip to the clinic.
