Eye Infection

Yep, vet visit. I have spent several months dealing with an eyelid infection in Pixie. It's not something to mess around with on your own. I'd recommend springing for cultures, since I spent several weeks trying to treat it without doing that only to find out I was dealing with the dog equivalent of MRSA.

Regular Vet promptly and than an Eye specialist Vet. :) Red and irritated could be something as simple as allergies.

Thank you all for your advice. I am taking her in to the vet today. In the meantime, I caught the infection. It seems to be like conjunctivitis. The lubricant eye drops (replicates human tears) have helped both of us until her appointment.

By the way, Joanie (NK Joan) was trampled in her last race four years ago and fractured her right leg. She is the best ever!
