Guest lanielovesgreys
Vivie has been really licky lately. Earlier today she was licking the side of her butt (no sores or bruising and no reaction when I push on it). My husband said she was just licking her girl bits. She has been recently diagnosed with LS. I can't imagine it would progress this quickly? The pain meds really helped. Do you think maybe she's licking due to numbness back there? We recently had her anal glands checked (~4 weeks ago). One was infected, and she made her way through the antibiotics. Maybe all the licking caused an infection elsewhere? We've got a vet appointment Monday. I guess I'm just hoping it's not progression of her LS.
Hubcitypam
Do you think she might be having some incontinance (sp?) issues and be cleaning herself up?

FiveRoooooers
The anal gland infection may not be cleared up. One of my seniors went through, doG bless him, four rounds of Baytril before we got that that evil infection cleared out. Your vet may want to recheck the a.g. Good luck!! Nope, we went back for her re-check (still pretty lick-y at that point) and they were both clear.
