robinw
Hello, Iker is going in for a dental in a couple of weeks as he has a broken tooth. I'm a bit concerned about the anesthesia, as he is a galgo, not a greyhound. I think that anesthesia requirements are the same for galgos as for greyhounds, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know if they have the same requirement as greyhounds? Thanks Quote Xavi the galgo and Peter the cat. kudzu
Can't answer for Galgos but the vet followed the same anesthesia protocols used for Greyhounds when spaying my Staghound. She was all sighthound, Deerhound x Greyhound/Borzoi.
galgomum
Yes Robin, galgo's and greyhounds are so close that the same rules go for them, blood values are also the same. It is one of the reasons Dr. Couto is so interested in the galgo's Quote ~SAGE~ Save A Galgo EspañolPetra Postma Photography

Batmom
FWIW, Robin, my main vet prefers the greyhound-style protocol for *all* dogs.
