with Morty. He is on Prednisone 2x daily and we ditched the Antibiotic Capsule for a Pill that is Comprobal with the Strenght of the Capsul (per my Vet )and easy to give. But Morty is just not the same Boy very aloof and lost Weight that he cannot afford to lose. He pants a lot and drinks a lot of Water. His Pee is a River, which is understood with the Ammount of Intake. His Weightlos worry's me the most. He is NOT at all Food Motivated and I try anything to make him eat. Per my Vet ,we laid of on the Medicin until we see the Eye Specialist on Tuesday. ;););)

Hey, Erika, for antibiotics or prednisone, I like to give something to help the tummy beforehand. What I usually do is:

- Give 1 Pepcid regular (the generic is 10mg famotidine -- very cheap at Walmart, Walgreen's, etc.)

- Wait 30-40 minutes.

- Feed a meal or a decent-sized snack (such as a piece of bread)

- Give pills

The prednisone makes the dog drink and pee a lot, and can make them pant too.

Hoping the eye specialist will help!

First of all , Thank you Jey for suggesting Pepcid . I was not sure if I could enter Pepcid to the Mix of Medicin. As the Vet said , it is a very minor Meds.

Today was a follow up on Morty's Eye and per Vet it has improved a lot , not 100% but we are on its way. There is light on the End of the Tunnel.Morty has to gain some Weight ( he lost 7 Pounds in about less then 2 Weeks ). :):):)
