Update On Ruby

Recommended Posts

Yesterday was 11 weeks since Ruby had her accident. Original thread

Ruby is doing quite well! She is still seeing Dr. Dave (the chiropractor) about every two weeks. She did have a couple of weeks when she was feeling pretty miserable; she developed a salivary mucocele, and also was having trouble peeing alone (she'd fall over :( ), so we were leash walking her, and supporting her while she did her business.

However, those issues are now resolved--the mucocele burst and drained on its own, and apparently the chiropractic helped the balance issue. We no longer have to 'help' her when she pees.

We are still not allowing her to do stairs; in order to have her join us for 'family time' in the basement, one of us walks her outside and in the basement door. She knows the drill, and is always excited to get harnessed up and go to the "Pupperoni Room". :lol

Ruby is still a little too thin, and will occasionally not want to eat--which was not at all like she used to be--but she is doing well.

On a side note, Jack is now BACK TO NORMAL. :)

Phoebe (Belle's Sweetpea) adopted 9/2/13.

Jack (BTR Captain Jack) 9/28/05--11/2/12
Always missing Buddy, Ruby, and Rascal.
