Guest arlosmom
Sunday is my Bridge Angel Feather's Birthday. One of my friends here has a Bridge Angel Winnie also with a birthday of July 5. We are going Sat. morning at sunrise to scatter both their ashes at the rocks at Fort Fisher. Feather so loved the beach and would sit out in the surf with only his head sticking out of the water. We have invited several friends and their greys. I am not sure how many will get up with us that early but it will be a lovely remembrance of a beautiful and majestice boy. He passed in September and I still miss him so. Here is a picture of him at the beach.

Hawthorn
That's a wonderful photo of Feather and the beach ceremony sounds like a very fitting way to pay tribute to him . Guest arlosmom
Well we, finally let our boy go at the beach Saturday morning. My husband actually got in the water and swirled the ashes to represent how Feather used to sit in the surf with the waves up to his head. A friend brought some white flowers that we let go at the end. Now Feather and Lynn's Winnie are in their favorite place on their birthday. A few others came along with our adoption coordinator who had also lost her dog but she could not speak or bring her ashes. The morning was beautiful, sunny and the sea calm. Afterwards some of us went to our famous donut shop at the beach our ritual for the last several Memorial Days and July 4th's and we drowned our sadness in yummy donuts( sooo much better than Krispy Kreme!) and we went home happy! What a beautiful morning! He will be forever in our hearts Float away sweet boy till we meet on the Bridge.
