Anyone Ever Had A Dog Diagnosed With Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia?

I realize we don't have a definitive diagnosis yet on Miss Bug, but I guess I'm trying to prepare myself just in case.

 

If you have, what have been your personal experiences in dealing with this?

You're waiting for the Coobs to come back? My first grey, Girl was diagnosed it with it. I think it varies greatly in severity and hers was severe.

We haven't run the Coombs test yet, Pam. We discussed it today, and she was going to go ahead and start her on the pred and see how Bug responds over the weekend.

 

I have been doing some reading up on it. Bug would be in the early stages if that is what she has. This just came on like gangbusters out of the blue.

Yes, she's around 2 years old.

My Dane was diagnosed with it; it seemed to come on really suddenly and her case was very severe.
