Guest siamanti Posted March 10, 2008 Share Posted March 10, 2008 Day 11 a.m Hi all, I just wanted to give you a short update on Jupp. Well, things went ok until Saturday and I was beginning to think Jupp was getting stronger. I had even started to reduce the painkillers (Gapapentin) and was quite hopeful. Unfortunately, the situation changed quite dramatically on Sunday when Jupp refused to get up at all and started showing signs of pain and distress whenever he tried to move. I have put him straight back on the painkillers and medication but as of this morning there is no change. Jupp has absolutely no control over his legs and squeaks when I try to lift him up. He has no bowel,or bladder control either. I have no idea what is going on but I have an appointment with the neurologist this evening. The odd thing is when he is lying down he almost managed to scratch his ear with his hind leg which to me is an indication that he has some feeling in his hind legs. I think that the fact that when he's lying down he has good movement in his hind legs is hopeful - it may just be a pain management thing for now.
