LakeshoreGreys Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 One year ago today our hearts were breaking as we sent Cooney to the rainbow bridge. It was not our intent when we went to the vets office for our 3:50pm appointment; we were supposed to just do bloodwork to see if we could refill his Rimadyl prescription. We hadn't had him a year then - his gotcha day was January 25. But our beloved and trusted vet pointed out the things that we were turning a blind eye to, and we realized that it really was his time. Coon-dog, we miss you and think about you every day. We wish you could have been with us longer, with your gentle and loving soul. I feel cheated that we had you such a short time, but blessed that you were able to touch our lives as long as you did. I hope you know how special you are!
