dbullwinkel
I have recently switched to a new..greyhound saavy vet. Missy is on metacam and at my old vet I paid just under $70 for 100ml bottle. cheapest online I have found is entirelypets.com for 57.95. Went to the new grey vet today..she needed bloodwork. They charged me $123 for the same size bottle I was getting at my old vet..I feel stupid calling back and asking why there is such a price difference or if they made a mistake. I was wondering what others have paid. thanks
Guest TinasTroops
Try PetPharm.org and compare prices It is your money and your dog - I would call and ask. I know I have in the past. Hubcitypam
If you can find anyone to go to Mexico for you the human version is about .07 a pill. My vet and a vet friend helped me compute the canine dosage and we may have covered it in another GT thread. If you can get your vet to write you a script the human version (Meloxicam) is also a $4 drug at Wal Mart. Guest longdogs
The active ingredient is meloxicam and you can buy it in a generic form for pets, and also as a human medication in branded or generic versions. All these options are cheaper. Generic meloxicam for pets is about 2/3 the price of the Metacam brand. Try asking your vet for advice.
