Flashie has been limping and crying for a couple of days. He also looks like he has lost weight. I have a vet appointment for him on Tuesday. Everyone please say prayers that the injury is minor. Thank you!

If he is crying, is there any way you can get him to the vet tomorrow? If for nothing else, just to make him more comfortable and not have to be in pain for 5 more days.

He is not crying constantly. Just wimpering when he jumps off the couch. If he was crying a lot for no reason, he would be at the emergency vet immediately! Thank you for the concern.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I will let y'all know what happens when we get home from the Vet this week. I am feeling optimistic....he jumped off the couch and ran up the stairs this afternoon with no problem!

Great News! After seeing two Vets, Flash is going to be fine!!!! He has a detached ligment. The ligament that was affected was one that greys injure when racing at the track. After several X-rays the Vet had to sedate him and do some heavy minipulation to identify the problem. I am soooooooooooo relieved!!!! He will still be on bed rest, and is taking medication for inflammation. We think it could be an old injury that became aggravated, since he does not really like to run anymore. :D

With heavy hear I write this message.....I cannot believe all of this started back in January and is ending now. We really thought it was a sports injury, but it is cancer. We had radiographs done at the beginning of May, and when the radiographer came down to see the film, he diagnosed Flash as having cancer. :( He is still eatling like a pig, put all of his weight on since January, and is happy. We go back in three weeks for more radiographs. He is on pain meds now, and they are helping.

I thought about amputation, but I cannot bring myself to put him through that when he has been through so much already. We are going to keep an eye on him, and when the pain starts we will help him make the next transition. It is heart breaking and I am still in shock. I am talking to my son little by little about Flash's situation. You always think... never me, it will never happen to anyone in my family. My heart goes out to everyone that has had to deal with this situation.

I am in limbo now, and I am numb.
