Guest SusanP
I got a 4pm vet appt today but in the meantime my imagination is working overtime. Found a hard lump a bit bigger than a pea in Zippy's "tuck", about an inch and a half from a nipple. She is a 9 yr old former brood who had 2 litters. I'm kind of freaking out because we just lost Simon 4 weeks ago. Does this sound like a mammary tumor or ??? ANd she's freaking out here with a thunderstorm. RATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! silverfish
Well, it could be, but if it's only pea-sized, you've caught it early. Look on the bright side. Good luck at the vets! patricia
Our Angel Queenie had 7 mammary tumors all benign except for the last one she had removed that was malignant. Hers were as you have described. Even so hers was a low grade and that is not what took her from us. Sending my prayers and white light. Quote Patti-Mommy of Lady Sophia 7-28-92 - 8-3-04... Guest SusanP
Zippy's having the tumor removed Monday morning. The vet aspirated the thing and while she didn't see regular cancer cells, there were other "strange" things in there, so cancer is still possible--taking it out, better safe than sorry, and we'll see what the pathology report says. sigh...
