Trudy
Ry's third eyelid on the bottom corner side by his nose is not where it belongs. He's been winking most of the afternoon and you can tell it is bothering him. Vet closed at noon, and it isn't an emergency, so we'll make an apt Monday if it still bother him But... can I use human saline solution to flush his eye? HopeForHounds
I would think so. My vet says to follow basic first aid procedures for humans. I've used Polysporin eye drops when one of ours got a gucky eye. Worked great and saved us a trip to the vet and the expenses that entails. GreyTzu
Yes. Get Genteal gel from the drug store, dry eye version. That is what the Eye Doc has us use on JD after his eye surgery. Burpdog
Yes. Make sure it's pure saline and not contact cleaner. Sport had a problem when I was there in April and saline cleaned it up after two days. Trudy
All I had was saline I used for my contacts. Worked fine. His eye is good this morning which is more than I can say for my own - and the saline didn't help mine
