Guest Peanut Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 As I write this, Peanut is running free with Natalie and all those that have passed on before her. Peanut joined our family at 6 weeks old, the youngest greyhound to walk through our doors. She came to us with her sister, Snickers, and her brother, Hershey. Snickers will be waiting for her as she crosses into heaven. Snickers sadly left earth at 10 months of age, 4 years before Peanut. At 5 months of age, Peanut began having seizures. After much ado the seizures have been gone for a year. She has lived life happy and loved by all who meet her. Peanut leaves us this March 5, because of an unfortunate incident. Sometime in the last days or weeks she had eaten something foreign. She was able to pass it last night, but the damage was already done. As she bled out, we knew it was not fair to keep her here for us. She was in pain and was time to say good bye. As Peanut was transported to the vet, she took her last breath and her life slipped away from earth. With great sadness we let our Peanaroo go to join Natalie as an Angel in heaven. – Good bye my love! They say memories are golden well maybe that is true. I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. The unfairness, the shock, the pain. Peanut knew you loved her, but she just couldn't stay. May time bring you peace as the memories bring back the joy of her love and your time together.
