    I am so very sorry for your loss. It sounds to me like the special memories you have made in both your trials and your tribulations with Prajna over the years will last with you always and forever. Sometimes the dogs that challenge us the most in the beginning have the greatest impact on our souls.

    We have just been through tick "hell" as well. What worked was Preventic Collars - get them on Amazon. My DH also sprayed the yard with this product that we got from the expert guy at Do It Yourself Pest Control. He said that this was one of the worst years for ticks in our area. You need to apply this stuff for four weeks in a row.

    Are you prepared to keep the dogs separated when you are not home for the rest of their lives? No matter how small dog safe my hounds are, there is no way that I would leave them together with a small dog unsupervised - just an accident waiting to happen in my opinion. Even muzzled, they could accidentally hurt a small dog through rough play. Just something to consider. But then, I am really conservative when it comes to hound safety.

    7am or as soon as they wake up.

    12 noon thereabouts.

    5pm before dinner.

    8pm early evening after dinner.

    11:30pm before I go to bed.

     

    I am home most of the time, so this schedule works for us. If I was working, then they probably would do without their noon turn out, and we would add a second quick pee before leaving for work, after they eat breakfast.

    I do make them from time to time for folks who need them in a hurry. It's not my business though, just something I've done on the side here and there. I don't carry lines of fabric and I just make them out of whatever I have on hand. The ones I make have an inner plastic lining in the crotch area and are roomy enough to hold a pad.

    Since Unruly Hound makes them as part of her business she might have more of a selection of fabrics and stuff. If you did want me to make them I could have them in the mail by Monday morning at the latest.
