Angel was the valentines' present that was supposed to be mine: but Ian and Angel fell in love at first sight. She was his Sweet-pea.

She went outside today: went to her old favorite spot, had a seizure and went to My Noser boy at the bridge.

I am grateful that Ian has been home with me for the last 6 weeks since I had surgery. He spent a lot of time with her. With him in CA,

it would have been so much harder on him.

My old Alpha queen...what will I do without you to keep these guys under control? You were the best brood mama we ever met.

Take care of Noser boy for me....

We will love and miss you always flowers_red.gif

  2. HI!!!

I bought my first greyhound t-shirt from you when I got my first Grey Domino! It was a cowdoggie, looked just like him. I still have the shirt, even thou I lost Noser...

I can't bring myself to get rid of the shirt. DH says to throw it..Not until I can replace it!!

    Have always loved your work.blush.gif

  3. Can I just again say how much I love my vet!!wub.gif

At her full approval we do the 3 year rabies and the booster at the same time. She does not feel the need to over vaccinate, and unlike many Dr or Vets, she takes the time to really talk about things and "hears" me.!!

AND!! We never pay for the office visit. It is always just the services and will give me samples or anything she can to help with the cost of having all these animals! wub.gif

ETA: just did a quick google about the autoimmune disorder and found nothing that said anything about the vaccines.

  4. Of course! There are different views on this as with anything that would cause an opinion..but it is safe. Mine are all chipped. Only recommendation I can make is get it done while getting fixed if possible. It is a huge needle. But it is alright to get done anyway!!!!!

  5. Angel is on this med for her low T4. (?) I took her in when she started to have seizures more frequently. When she had her first one, we just waited. It was at least a year before she had another. The vet felt that that was not a huge thing to give daily meds for, at a year apart. And thank God my dogs do not attack when she has one. Darby comes and get me. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, when Angel started to have them about every three months and then a grand mal (sp) she had blood work again and was put on the meds. We get blood work done about every 6 months and just this last time she had her dose up'ed a little.

She has been seizure free for almost a year. The last one she had was very mild.

  6. Tho I have 5 more Greyhounds here, after I lose Domino, I truly felt myself withdrawing from my other hounds: even my littles.

It is something that we never get over, just learn to deal with. May your heart heal with all the wonderful memories that you have...flowers_pink.gif
