I'm so sorry about Homer. His loss was a real blow, and so unlooked-for. Soon, we'll be raising awareness about the disease that cut his life so short, and funds to help treat other dogs, with his CafePress store. I lost my Widget ferret much the same way. It happened over 20 years ago, and I still feel the pain. Hugs to you, Lydia, and comfort in knowing Boo is free, now, chirping and chuckling, rolling and wrestling with all the other ferrets at the Bridge.
