Denise,I am so very sorry to hear about Zach.I am so very glad I had the honor of meeting him.He was lucky to have you and Steve. You guys gave him a wonderful loving home. He knew that he was loved. You guys had him the best part of his life. I'm sure he and Prince are running together on the other side.

It was one year ago today that Annie and I made that long drive over to Waukesha to say good bye to Prince. It hard for me to believe that he has really been gone a year and that another wonderfull hound has come into our lives. As much as we all love Freddie he will never be able to take Prince's place in our hearts,he has a place in our hearts next to Prince.Saturday will be a rough day too.Because it would have been his 6th Gotcha day. I just think back to all the good time we had with him and smile.

Thanks everyone,yesterday was a hard day for me knowing that tomorrow is my birthday and he's not here is share it with me! Here is one of the very last pictures ever taken of Prince.It was taken last November when we did the the Port Washington,Wi Christmas Parade.That's my sister Annie in the black coat with deer in the headlight look on her face and I'm the blonde on the left.

Today it would have been Prince's 10th Birthday.He and I normally celebrated our birthdays together,mine is September 1st.We would go for ice cream on August 31st,one day after his birthday and the day before mine. Now he is gone,and I have no one to share my birthday with.

There are so many things I miss about Prince. His regal look,his sweet personality,the way he would groan when you rubbed his ears.The way he would attack the bubbly shark that he got from his secert santa this past year. How he would catch fruits and vegs when you threw them in the air for him. I miss very thing about Prince.

Well today I went to pick up Prince's ashes today. That was the second hardest thing I ever had to do, next to saying good-bye to him. We decided that we are going to bury his ashes in the backyard come spring. But for now my sister is keeping them in her room.

Our big sweet boy Prince is gone! The vet office called and said that he had a stroke and was barely hanging on. We made the decision to let him cross the bridge. Where he can be free from all his pain. So I got my sister out of school and we went our and said our good-byes to him.We wanted to stay with him untill be crossed over and we did. Now he is at peace and in no more pain. Now he can go back to chasing all the rabbits and squirrells again!

I voted for only when they need it. Both Katie Z and Prince only get a bath once a year or when they start to get a little stinky. Over the summer we had the kiddie pool out so they went in that, then they chased each other around the yard to dry off.
