  1. Ever since I got my grey he has been shedding. I thought it would stop in the summer, but we have been having very hot days here and he has not slowed down. His coat looks great, but he sheds very badly. I brush him everyday and vacumn/mop at least twice a day. What can I do? Thanks so much.

  2. Cathy, I tried the caps when I first got my grey and it just added to his stomach problems..But, I got mine at Walmart and they were just in the vitamin section for people..so, maybe I did not get the right fish oil for dogs. I never tried again. Wish you luck.

  3. I think I have already asked about brushing his teeth, but cannot find it. I am using Petzlife and a small soft child's toothbrush. We do fair on the front teeth, but how do you brush the very back teeth upper and lower? He turns away and clenches his teeth. I really don't want to put my fingers in his mouth as there is a little fear factor. Please help.

  4. I have been trying to brush with Petzlife everyday. He is not very fond of it and he still does not allow me to brush his back teeth. How can I do that? He just clamps his mouth closed and turns his head..and frankly I don't want to push the issue because I don't want him trying to get agressive with me! Thanks

  5. My grey has had a yeast infection in his left ear since I got him in January. I have been to 4 vets about it. The ONLY medicine that has helped him is Zymox with Cortisone. And a vet did not prescribe it...Dee in Ellijay put me on it. Granted, it has not fixed him completely, but the vet said he was 60% better. I am taking him off of Confortis and Heart Guard Plus and trying him on Revolution because last vet said he could be allergic to thoses two drugs...time will tell. Took him off all grains about 6 months ago and stomach problems ended...Good luck.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. Two of the vets did not even look in his ears, one vet looked but that was all. Only one vet actually took a Q-tip and cramed it down his ear to get a sample and sent it off ..it took 3 of us to hold him down and he screamed something awful..So, did your vet actually take a sample out of the ears? Not all vets are the same..I get discouraged a lot with them..

  6. I guess I just pushed the panic button. He is doing fine today. He ate and drank just fine today. We walked with no problems and now he is asleep. But, I will throw the Bengal in the trash and NEVER use it again. Also, think I will drop the vet a note in the snail mail about not getting past her hired help yesterday. Thanks everyone for the information and for asking about him.

  7. I called the vet. Could not get past the receptionist. She said to call the number on the back of the can. I called the number and was forwarded to a voice mail. I have not heard back. I called the adoption kennel and was told to give him gatorade/water and put a good bit of water in his kibble. If he does not get better by tomorrow, that him to vet. I may wind up at e-vet tonight, but do not know if they are greyhound savy.

  8. I sprayed Bengal yesterday on my back porch..it is a dry spray, but did not let grey walk on it for several hours. He has to walk about 3 feet on the porch to get to the back yard. Today he is not drinking hardly anything and of course not going to the bathroom...mostly just lays around in his bed..Is he sick from the spray? He ate normal this morning and played around in the house for 30 minutes..cannot let him play outside as it is 110-115F heat index. Thanks (PS Bengal is much stronger than Raid spray)

  9. Your story sounds like mine..He might be allergic to the chicken..try him on something he has NEVER had before. I put mine on Dick Van Patton's Bison and Sweet Potato with nothing except his food for treats..And that means nothing. I have since started giving him Sweet Potato treats from The Front Porch..it has nothing in it but sweet potato. This sure worked for my grey. Good luck.
