  5. Tonya, between you and me we must be driving poor Hope crazy
  6. Moofie, I let out an audible gasp when I saw Hector's name. I'm so very sorry. He was always a GT favourite of mine. I'll miss him a lot.
  7. How would you suggest adoption groups handle these types of situations? How do you think groups are encouraging abuse and neglect? I'm just really curious... Good update, by the way
  8. I just got off the phone with Hope, who is at OSU with Jane (joejoesmom). She asked me to post on her behalf. She said that they just completed another ultrasound and that the results were encouraging Princess will be having surgery (or a scope...I'm sorry, bad memory...either way she will be receiving anaesthesia) at 1 this afternoon. I'm so glad there is finally some encouraging news! On behalf of Hope, thank you so much for your support and prayers and keep them coming
  9. You and Princess continue to be in my thoughts. You know where to find me

  12. Actually, I wasn't referring to you . I understand what you are doing and how important it is to get answers.
  13. Are you guys all ignoring all of the research that states that hypothyroidism is way over diagnosed in greyhounds? I think you can make that claim about almost any kind of research in a money making industry. That is certainly no reason to discount everything else out there that suggests that hypothyroidism is over diagnosed in greyhounds. Personally I think all of those hypothyroid talk is dangerous and is putting these dogs at risk.
  14. It's done through blood work. Here's some info...and here is some greyhound specific info. It's a different test than the heart worm test. My Phoenix ended up having babesia, which is one of those diseases. Here is yet some more info and even more, so put on your reading shoes
  15. Has Raina been checked for tick borne disease? I think that would be my first concern.
  16. I'm so sorry. Like you, I let Loca go without a definitive diagnosis. All I knew was that she was in so much pain and I had to do what I thought was right. It would have been inhumane to drag it out any longer with what seemed like would be such a poor prognosis. In the end, it doesn't matter why we let then go when there are such serious health issues involved. All that really matters and that he was loved and that you did the absolute best for him with love.
  17. Oh no! I'm so sorry I was just looking for an update . I hope you realize that you gave him the wonderful life that you wanted to give him and that you did your very best for him.
