Brad only did this to the whippet when they ran outside together so I knew they could not be outside together anymore (this is a very normal greyhound thing to do outside. Even cat safe greys should never be outside with small dogs or cats). Also come to find out the whippet (Derby) had bone cancer and died 3 months later. They can sense things like this. These were special circumstances. We had people bring over their IG's and tested it out several times before we decided to do this adopt an IG. Please don't make me feel like I could have prevented this because I did take all precautions. What a beautiful tribute, I feel your pain and I am so very sorry your lost your sweet Sadie Sue. Remember they are never ever here with us long enough, I believe they are sent here to do a job and when it's done they have to on to their next job in heaven. I just got off the phone with Trish, sweet dear Annie waited till her mommy walked into the room to cross the bridge She is now whole and healthy again and can run like the wind. Trish will post at a later time, it's just too painful right now so she asked me to let everyone know about Annie. Annie will always hold a special place in my heart, she was such a character and had no quams about telling off her brother and sisters when the got on her nerves, it was quite commical and of course they all listened. This past week has been very difficult for her as well as Trish and Tom and Annie's little body just couldn't get better. I was fortunate enough to visit with her last night and tell her I loved her. My sweet little Annie Fannie as I called her, I will miss her terribly but know I will see her again. I know that Marcus and Lady Sophia were waiting to greet her and show her the way as were all our other beloved bridge angels. Godspeed sweet Annie, please send a rainbow to let us know you are ok. Don't worry mommy and daddy will be ok in time but it will certainly take time for their hearts to heal. They will tell Milky, Suzy and Zeus that you had another job to do and you will all be together again one day. I asked mommy to give you a kiss on your forehead and to tell you that I love you and will miss you. Thank you everyone for all the prayers, but now Trish and Tom will need all the prayers you can send to help mend their hearts. Until we all meet again....

OMG NO, NO, not sweet sweet Marcus Oh, Marcus I loved you, sweet handsome boy, my heart is broken, I can't type,.......Deanna and Brian I am so very sorry, thank you for loving Marcus as much as you did and for giving him such a great life I must add this: Dear sweet Marcus, I wanted to adopt you so badly but it wasn't meant to be, there was a reason you got such a wonderful mommy and daddy and a great brother and sisters, how wonderful all of you got to be together, but it just wasn't long enough. Your mommy and daddy know how much I adored and loved you and the first time I met you I fell to my knees hugging you and crying. You were that kind of greyhound, one that just by looking into your eyes touches ones soul. You will be missed but never ever forgotten...... Run like the wind.....and please send a rainbow when you can, hugs, kisses and ear scritches sweet boy, I love you and will never forget you.....

Kari, please accept my deepest sympathies, I will say a prayer for you and your family and of course for you dearly loved father. Give yourself time, it so very hard to go through but you will. I lost my father when I was 14 and there are still days that I can't believe he's gone. Just take it day to day. Hugs to you, Karen

What a beautiful and touching tribute to Honor, thank you so much for sharing and making it possible to pay tribute as well. My heart goes out to all of you but especially Christine and you Diana. There are not enough thank you's Diana for all you do to help find the missing greys as well as help find wonderful homes for this breed we have all come to absolultely adore. The Gus saga touched all of us deeply and without individuals such as you there wouldn't be so many happy endings. We all wish all endings would be good but it is not always meant to be, it's so comforting to know that in times of need there are individuals like you that jump in and help in what ever way they are able. Godspeed Honor, you touched so many lives in the short time here but now you have an even bigger job to do, help guide those newbies at the bridge and show them how to send a rainbow to those who are missing them and need a little comfort and reassurance that you are ok.

Oh Diane, please, please forgive yourself........you have done some many wonderful things for the greys and continue to do so. I'm sorry you have so much pain over this but you know your sweet Eliza has forgiven you and the day you are together again there will only be happiness. Hugs to you to help mend your broken heart my friend. Eliza sounds like she was truly a special grey and we all know they play such an important role in our lives. We are very blessed to be given the opportunity to have them in our lives and we all know it's never, ever long enough. Pretty girl please send your mommy a rainbow when you can.....

Thank you everyone for the prayers, I spoke with Oti's mommy at work, she came in very late, unable to comprehend what happened. I told her I posted about him here and that everyone was sending prayers for him to be found. She wanted me to thank everyone. Apparently poor Otis was hit by a train and found by the park police Something rather strange happend when they were walking back with his body, a train went by and Oti's collar feel out of his daddy's back pocket and things got very quiet, couldn't ever here the birds in the trees, the a gentleman walking the trail with his wife was very kind and stoped to say a prayer for Otis and his parents, now how wonderful is that, it helped their hearts a little, then there was a women in her yard (backs up to the park) gardening and she saw them walking with a box and started talking to them, well she was so kind, she offered to let them put Otis to rest at the edge of her property and said she would plant a nice flower at his grave (Oti's parents live in an apartment). It's nice to know during this dark time that a few individuals were gracious enough to help this couple. Again thanks everyone.

Just wanted to post a little something for Otis, he was such a cutie pie. Otis was exploring the state park with his owners on Monday 10/18/05 when he spotted a fox and took off into the woods. Upon searching today his body was found May you run free at the bridge little one, I'm sorry this happened, such a senseless death. I know Oti's parents are devistated, and a valuable lession has been learned. Godspeed Otis
