I've heard of it being done for people with tennis elbow when the surgery doesn't work, but have not heard of it being used for animals

Another vote for Traumeel Cream.
It also comes in tablets.
Try the gel, it is so much easier to penetrate

I read somewhere, but cannot find the link.... Is there topical muscla rub/pain relief that is suitable for greyhounds? Homeopathic rememdy preferred. This damp weather is hard on Bacchus's arthritis.
Thanks,
Jayne

Thanks for the compliment; that was the first article I ever wrote about greyhounds - in 1993! And I'm glad you're enjoying all those greyhound articles on my website.I couldn't stand having all those articles sitting on my hard drive doing nothing, so I created the site to put them all online (after getting author permissions).
PS If anyone has any articles or tips or recipes - or anything greyhound-related to add to the site, please PM me so I can make it happen.
I think it's a great article Marcia! I can never contribute much to this particular forum, but I'm always seeing questions posted asking why the dog does this...and why the dog does that...and this article gives such good insight and answers to some of those questions.
On a side note, I didn't connect who wrote it until I got your message

Things may have changed over the last year, but when I spoke to Dr C's staff about donating Misty's Lysodren, they had never dealt with a GH with Cushings.

What to say, about a boy who was bigger than life, a boy who is so well loved with a huge presence. All the good times we had here with Dude and the Flashman, it was probably 2 years ago now but I can remember it like it was yesterday.

I can only base my observation on the GH's I've lived with, and the only time I have seen a stiffness is with the ones who have limited motion due to arthritis and mostly OA.
Wayne is probably the worst I've seen due to OA of his tarsal joints.
When the others were younger, I saw no stiffness at all, and especially not with the 2 yr old.

Excessive drinking can mean a lot of different things, and it could also mean nothing but habit, type of food being fed, and sometimes boredom as well. And I suppose "a lot" is relative.
Has he always done this or is it something new?
