Grace's feet have never smelled but she does occasionally make up for it with an evening of posterior climate changing emissions.

😷 Yup.   We have those, too. Luckily for me, Jenny chooses to lay next to DH after dinner. It’s not unusual to see him fanning the fumes while watching the nightly news.

  2. Jenny is sleeping next to me on ‘her’ recliner.  As a part of her body must always touch mine, her two front feet are resting on my forearm.  The stink is killing me!  It’s worse than my son’s sneakers back in the day.  🤮 Definitely time for a bath. I love my silly, stinky girl. 🥰

  3. I’m thrilled to hear that Proheart worked for you.  I started Jenny on Proheart 6 a month ago after a course of Panacur.  She’ll also be on Bravecto every 3 months. I’ll be taking a fecal to the vet on Monday with my fingers crossed for a negative result. It’s been over a year-long battle with Satan’s pet parasites.   🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thanks for the replies. I did put some of her pee on the original grass, no luck. I had new grass delivered today so I'll try again. I wonder doing that and *not* taking her downstairs will work, any thoughts?

Many moons ago adopted a Sheltie that had been paper trained before she came to me.  I was never able to get that dog to potty outside. She had the ‘paper potty’ so ingrained that she’d become very anxious and begin urinating immediately when I put her lead on to take her outside.  That was an extreme case, of course, but what I’m trying to get at is that maybe your girl is having trouble understanding that it’s okay to potty on the balcony and outside as well.  Maybe balcony train her exclusively, and once that’s accomplished, go ahead and go walkies and throw a praise party when she does her business. Patience and good luck!

P.S. A bit of grass sprinkled with the urine of another dog might encourage her to mark her territory.

My spook, referenced above, was a very good racer - she won a stakes race at Ebro quite handily.  But when she was moved to a better track at Orange Park, in a new kennel for a new trainer, she was only moderately successful.   She was retired to adoption after one season there.

    Fascinating!  Thanks for sharing.
