My Vet told me to use a soup ladle. Worked like a charm!

Not sure if the Stock Shop has tripe.....they do have a refrig section with raw. So maybe?
-
So Lorinda....were you at the Stock Shop??
-
I'd give the Vet a call. Sounds like he's in pain.

I'm so sorry Jan! Fletcher was such a beautiful hound.
My favorite memory of him is standing in the grandstands of Phoenix Greyhound Park, with him on his lead. As the racers were coming around the turn & crossed the finish line, Fletcher would let out a big WOOF! It always made the crowd laugh!
Everyone always wanted a picture with him......he was that beautiful!
RIP big fella........go win all those races!

You won't smell it much after she eats it.
What happens when they want to kiss you after??

Here's an excellent article that my Vet posted. Thought I would share......

I'm not sure how Trolley learned to be gentle. But if I give her something that is particularly yummy, I always say "EASY" very firmly. She somehow gets it.....

This really has nothing to do with the OP's question, but this reminded me of a funny story. I took Henry to a dog park for what I thought was "Greyhound Day." Well, I goofed the date, and it was actually "Southwest PA Pugs with Special Needs Day." Suffice to say, Henry loves pugs.

What hospital track are you walking at?

Still need to be careful-dont be fooled. Just because a product was "made in the USA" doesn't mean they didn't source the ingredients from China.
So where are these CostCo treats ingredients coming from? Are you saying that you know they are from China?
-
Unfortunately, most, if not all, of the jerky treats sold at Costco are made in China.
Not everything. The chicken & sweet potato jerky is made in the USA. I NEVER buy treats made in China. They also have a great Alligator soft treat that Trolley loves- made in Louisiana. Says: Simply American....means great North American ingredients! The folks at the CostCo near me said they were making a real effort to buy more USA products.

CostCo has a Chicken & Sweet Potato jerky type chew. Trolley loves them.

Just watch for any respiratory distress or problems swallowing. If he avoids eating or drinking he may have a problems that requires Vet attention. Glad to hear that he sounds like he's ok.
-
Probably blackheads. Its right on the spot that hits the ground when the lay down.
-
At 16 years old she probably can no longer hear you. Thus she cannot follow commands. I've had a hound that almost reached 16- they have some pain due to age. Get the pain controlled & I believe she & you will be happier! Give that pup a cookie......16 is a treasure.
-
Unfortunately, that's why I only have a single hound. I know that I could not afford the Vet bills for more.
-
Pain perhaps? The panting I think is your key signal. Could be arthritis or something else.....
-
I'm so sorry......I'm so glad that I got to meet him last year! A stunning hound! Hugs from Trolley & I.....

Oh Greg....I've been dreading seeing this post. Bijou was a gem. She reminded me of my Nevada......a once in a lifetime hound. Hugs from Trolley & I.

Trolley is crazy about CET chews!
-
Treasure every moment with her Greg. I consider it an honor that I've had the pleasure of meeting her in person! Trolley adored her too!

You also might try speaking in an either higher or lower pitch. My Vet said that sometimes as their hearing begins to fade, they can hear one or the other better.
