Sheila, I can't answer either. With Rex, it was sudden, and with Vinnie... we treated for months thinking it was an injury. It wasn't. Rex was three months short of his 13th birthday. Vin was 3 1/2 days short of his 10th birthday. I believe it hurts something awful either way Sending hugs to you and Kiowa,

I am so sorry Luna is gone. I know how it is to lose one fast and not know why. I also know how it feels to lose your first grey. As far as the boys, they will start picking up some of her jobs/responsibilities/habits, and that will help them with the loss. Most of the time they deal with death better than we do, and they knew she was sick. It's no surprise to them. At our house, we let them see the body. As far as people, you need to grieve in your own way. I feel it helps to write about her... nice, cute, funny, special moments... and GT is the perfect place to do so. Talking will help, but the man here does not talk about them for a while because that is the way he grieves. Sending hugs,

We've done O.K. with potty leash walks before feeding our boys. I would really split that one big meal into two separate meals. That's a lot of food at once. Congrats on your new girlie!

Yep! He doesn't need jammies this time of year... but he REALLY liked the ones GTers sent him last winter! BTW, Isaac turned 12 in March. He's the last survivor of his litter. He's AKC registered (though his grandma was a NGA dog). He's been with us since he was 11 weeks old. Such a sweet baby Glad he's having such a good time

What's bunny hair? We're shedding here, too. Chase was shedding becausae of the fireworks, and Red is blowing coat again! We brush a lot with a hound glove.... out in the yard. When the kids come home, they think something has been murdered
