I'm so happy for you and your dad, Karen. She is very sweet and the picture of you together says it all. Congratulations!

How horrible...my thoughts are with her friends and family. Hopefully, her killer will be found quickly and justice will be served. Please keep us updated on this senseless tragedy to someone who obviously was very kind and compassionate.

Congratulations! How wonderful for all of you! I loved reading you are in love already - doesn't take long at all... Did you mention new collars - that can be very addicting (I speak from experience). Best of luck and happiness!
My thoughts exactly...hope to continue to hear how he's doing...he really is sweet

Both our pups are microchipped. We lost Ben's tags last year at Dewey and the mall staff (where the tags fell off) called 24PetWatch who contacted us about the tags which I thought was really nice. Unfortunately the mall staff would not mail them to us and Dewey is a 12 hour drive. It cost us $50/dog and no maintenance or annual fees. I think I had to pay $5 to get Ben's tag replaced.

Novolexin is cephalexin, an antibiotic.
Is it safe for greys...Bailey is 9.5 yrs. old
Sounds like you don't trust the vet?
I've not heard of any antibiotics that aren't safe for Greyhounds.
We went to an e-vet so i don't know her. The trust issue is with me...I check drugs out on the internet before I give them to her, but I always like to hear what others have to say "just in case."
She's doing well...she's pretty much back to normal so I'll continue to monitor her once she's finished the meds. I was glad to hear it was a soft tissue injury and not a swollen joint...guess what my first thought was when I saw the swelling
