Guest SonjaAndStella
Hi! I just adopted my first grey, Stella, last week! They had given her comfortis, but it did not work at all here in the Alabama summer-she was covered up with fleas and ticks as well. I took her to the vet, and he gave me a seresto collar and sentinel spectrum. I've heard that seresto collars are perfectly safe on Greys, and I've heard to stay away. She's had it on for a few days and besides being annoyed at it, seems fine. Has anyone used these products on their grey? Thanks!
tbhounds
I use one on my hound as do many other folks including a veterinarian on her hounds. Edited to add--congrats on your recent adoption!!! Edited July 17, 2015 by tbhounds
Guest SonjaAndStella
Whew! I just had a mom moment and got very worried! Thank you. I've been wanting a hound for years and am so thrilled to have her- she's a doll!
teri_d
Congrats on your new grey. Love her name . Mine do heart guard and nexguard for heartworms and flea and tick prevention ..... So far no issues
Guest SonjaAndStella
Thank you! My vet seemed to prefer the collar, so I went with it. I was planning on doing heartgard and Nexgard too, but went with his suggestion... Just making sure he knew what he was talking about with the greys 😊 Edited July 18, 2015 by SonjaAndStella
tbhounds
The Seresto collar will prevent in the flea and tick dept but, you still need to give the monthly heartgard for prevent heartworms.
