Guest kkaiser104
I finally took the plunge and picked up turkey necks at the farmers market on Saturday. I'm a little afraid to give it to Teddi, though, because his poop has recently been really firm (this coming from a dog who has consistently had loose stool problems). Am I worrying for nothing, or should I wait a little while?
OwnedBySummer
You can give him some green tripe the same day as the neck (like, the neck in the afternoon and the tripe with dinner). That should help. If you don't have the fresh stuff available, just used canned. Edited May 14, 2013 by OwnedBySummer Quote Lisa B. Guest Scouts_mom
I've never had poop troubles or changes with my hounds when I give them turkey necks. You could cut them into smaller pieces (but still big enough that they need to chew them) and give them less if you wanted to.
Remolacha
Shouldn't be a problem unless he is allergic to turkey, which I assume he isn't
JAJ2010
If he's kibble fed turkey necks can cause constipation in some dogs. You can always feed him half the neck. Or add in some muscle meat to go along with it. That way it's not so high in bone content. Quote ------ Jessica
