She says to stop for a week, back on for a week, then off for another week and back on. I need your thoughts on this. He is to stay on the Gabapentin and the Rimadyl. cleptogrey Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 emily was on amanatadine 100mg as part of her cocktail of pain meds when she was diagnosed w/ osteo. the dr. who xrayed her was just at a seminar and had learned that it will boost the effects of the tramadol and metacam. i personally would follow your vet's instructions, they are the professionals who are keeping on on current uses of meds. at the end, right before euthanisia (new year's eve) i started to throw in some gabapentin- just to keep her sedated and as pain free until the vet reopend. she was pretty stoned on the initial cocktail.
