a_daerr
I'd like to put Henry on Denamarin because his new seizure meds metabolize in the liver. I went on Amazon today and found out that it's expensive! Like $75 for a one-month supply. Is there a cheaper alternative?
krissn333
Milk Thistle, you can get it at any drug store. You can also get Sam-E at any drugstore as well, I believe Denamarin has both of those things in it. TheFullHouse
I kept Saint on Milk Thistle the entire time he was taking seizure meds and he never had problems with his liver. GreyTzu
Denamarin is a canine liver lifesaver! If your Vet has diagnosed your dog with a liver issue and prescribed Denemarin, USE IT! Don't be lulled in by all the crap on the web about milk thistle or SamE or whatever happens to be the current holistic fad. Search eBay for Denamarin or Denosly. Quote Wendy and The Whole Wherd. nessa
Pet Meds n More is about $58.00 for 30 day supply and I think they may require a Dr prescript sent to them first. It is expensive but I do not know how much milk thistle and sam-e to use, and as GreyTzu said, it is a life saver for liver disease! So depending how seriously it is needed for the liver, and if you feel comfortable putting the other supplements together to make it right?, it is $$$$ !
