Guest Wasserbuffel Posted December 14, 2012 Share Posted December 14, 2012 Is my dog just weird, or do others do this? Often when we give Jayne a treat she gets so excited that she gags and coughs. She's not choking on the treat, she starts her "fit" either before she even takes the food or while holding it in her teeth before chomping down. It only lasts a few seconds, then she eats her treat. Guest june Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 One of my girls starts producing drool as soon as she knows a treat is coming and often chokes on her saliva. once she has the treat she is fine. Then I spend a couple minutes cleaning the drool off the floor so I don't slip and break my neck or get gross drool all over my feet/shoes.
