I'm so sorry for your loss, but so very happy for Callie that she was loved and cared for by someone so bonded with her. I feel that way about Gracie. She's my first grey and my heart dog. I can't imagine the day I'm going to have to say good bye. When you're ready you will know, and that new grey will fill a hole in your heart, not take the place of Callie.
