Guest Tabby
First let me say I know I am late asking this. Can they eat Pistascios? We discovered today that Tabby loves them. She will do anything including almost get all the way on the couch for one. I only let her have less than 10.

Guest Tabby
Shew..... I am glad of that! It amazes me the things she likes to eat. She is a little person in there with great taste!
Guest Mom2Shiloh
I'd be careful with the shells.. glad to know the nuts are safe. Not all nuts are -- for example, Macadamia nuts are definitely not safe. I know dogs can eat things like egg shells, but that's a whole different consistency -- I wonder about pistachio shells because I've had two friends who have had a dog die after eating an acorn -- the acorn shells are very hard and pierced the intestine. BootsyCollins
Bootsy stole a can of Virginia peanuts and ate the whole thing. Many of them came out whole. Thanks for the info. I am generally careful with them, but there have been occasions when I've left the bag of shells within dog reach. Not good. Quote Xavi the galgo and Peter the cat. GeorgeofNE
Gosh, I hope so! And FYI, I had no idea they could not have macadamia nuts, and many a dog in my family has enjoyed a few.
