EffieGrey
I just found this odd growth in between Effie's toes. Has anyone seen anything like it before? She is almost 10 years old. Sambuca
It looks like a callous to me. Could her toes be rubbing together there?
JJNg
Is it where the nail from the adjacent toe rubs? If so, I'd agree it may just be a callus. How does it feel? Is it rougher than normal skin? Hard? Soft and squishy? Guest GreysAndMoreGreys
I agree with the others, just looks like a rub mark from the toenail
EffieGrey
Thanks for your replies! I thought it might be a callous at first too, but after inspecting it, I am not so sure. It feels different than a callous. Also, when she stands, her nail tends to stick in the other direction due to a previously dislocated toe. I've got a vet appointment for her tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get an answer. I am hoping for a callous, that's for sure!
