Guest Durham
My greyhound loves to run extremely fast laps around our local enclosed dog park daily; however, he has returned on more that one occasion with raw bloody spots on his paws. Yesterday, the back of both hind legs were bleeding, I assume from digging into the ground on his super fast and low to the ground turns. Has anyone else had this problem? Are greyhound paws more sensitive than others? Is there anything I can do to ameliorate the situation or possibly prevent future bleeding? Thanks in advance!!!!!! CaliforniaGreys
This would happen to my Katie who I also took to a dog park every day. I would soak in warm water and Epsom Salt after every visit, then tried boots for the park which most of the time fell off. Then I decided to stop going Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless
racindog
Might try TUF-FOOT. It worked great for Slim. It is a foot care product guaranteed to toughen and protect soft, sore and tender feet and paws. Recommended by veterinarians and trainers for 70 years, hunters and athletes praise the product for dog paws and pads and their own skin needs. I think addy is www.tuffoot.com (might need to type in). Other places carry it too like KV Vet etc.

I also like Trypzyme-V, which comes in a spray our ointment, but, ointment would probably be best in this situation, and maybe some toddler sox and a bootie. Good Luck!
