I'm so sorry for your heartbreaking loss - RIP Sugar.

When a relationship of love is disrupted, the relationship does not cease. The love continues; therefore, the relationship continues. The work of grief is to reconcile and redeem life to a different love relationship. ~ W Scott Lineberry

Oh my gosh! I was so happy to hear that Sugar was in a home, and it sounds like she embraced the idea of full retirement with enthusiasm. I can't believe she's gone. Sugar was raised by a man who spent a lot of time with his pups. He only raised a couple of litters a year and he was able to spend quality time with them, so I know she got a good start to life. I like to think that she had a life full of love through all phases of her life, but I'm especially glad that she had time in a home, even if that time was far too short.

Rest in peace, Sugarnooche. You will not be forgotten.

I gave him a call last week to share the news. He did seem said, but said that he was not surprised that the surgery was hard on her because she was getting on in years and on the frail side. He seemed glad to hear she'd enjoyed life in a home and that we'd all loved her so much. She really was a wonderful girl, and there wasn't a day that went by that my husband didn't comment on how happy we were to have her. "I'm so glad we brought her home," was something we both said every day.
