Laser Therapy For Arthritis

Recommended Posts

I just got off the phone with the vet, who has suggested using laser therapy for Loca's arthritis. He recommended one treatment every six weeks. Has anybody tried this successfully?

Turbo was lasered for his groin (iliopsoas) strain and I can't say how well it worked because ultimately, he also had a corn so he never stopped limping :lol. It shouldn't be that expensive, so I guess you can just try it and see if it helps :) (Yeah, fat lot of help I am, right? :P ) A cursory search on the internet indicates that laser therapy for arthritis treatment seems to have lots of fans. :dunno

Rickie is having laser treatments for arthritis in his front carpal joints. We have been going once or twice per week, but are dropping back the frequency to every 2 weeks for now. We have also been using the underwater treadmill and doing range of motion exercises, so I can't isolate his improvement to the laser, but a marked limp has been reduced to limping occasionally for a few steps - a huge improvement.
