Guest 4baddogs
Kirby's surgery went well, I suppose. The doctor sent the cyst/tumor out for biopsy. He said it went in pretty far and he had to drain it for what seemed like forever. He has 2 stitches on the outside and it doesn't look bad at all. They wanted to send him home with an E-collar but that wasn't happening because he's such a lil' spook he'd go crazy! I'm home with him and not leaving his side and he's not bothered it at all. His dental, on the other hand..... He had SEVEN extractions!!! Six uppers (pre-molars) and one lower. My poor little man. He is such a chow hound and was dying to eat when we got home, so I gave him a tiny bit of Zoe's soft canned food. Now he's happily snoozing. He leg is pretty badly bruised from the IV, but other than that he didn't bleed bad at all! I'm working from home tomorrow so that I can keep an eye on him. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers!
CaliforniaGreys
Glad he's home and resting. If he does start bothering his stitches, you may be able to get away with the bite-not collar, much more comfortable than the e-collar. On to an uneventful healing and a good biopsy result Quote Missing my little Misty who took a huge piece of my heart with her on 5/2/09, and Ekko, on 6/28/12 For the sick, the lost, and the homeless

They are amazing with little and even no teeth! rascalsmom
That is all pretty great news, Paula! Well, maybe not about the extractions, but look at it this way: less teeth to brush!
