I don't really know anything about the broods in particular, but I can tell you that a lot of females who have been given excessive steroids at the track will have this problem because of the skin folds that develop along with the "swollen" vulvas. Everytime they pee, bacteria will form in the folds and after so much licking of that bacteria, they'll develop a UTI. Another common reason like Soul's mom said, having to hold it for so long.
