rschultz
Vet put lexie back on tyleson powder and said long term on that is no problem. He asked if i have her on a probiotic which i do. I give her the "pearl" brand because I use it myself. He said there were ones on that specifically for dogs. I am sure it was posted here somewhere but could someone tell me which probiotic is for dogs and can I get it at a store or only on line? A day later after I put her on the powder she is better already. He said she must have some bacteria overgrowth in stomach and not worth scoping unless the powder stops working cause thats what they giver for that anyway after they scop them. Any ideas or experiences with this matter is appreciated. I alos wanted to say to all those dealing with stomach problems I understand and hope by all of us communicating we can help others. RobinM
We have te fortiflora by purina. I read somewhere in my many readings that many of the probiotics do not have all the live cultures they claim to, but this one does. It was not written up at a Purina site! It was from a journal somewhere. You can get it online or from your vet. It's under a $1.00/day. info: http://www.purinaveterinarydiets.com/Canin...l.aspx?prod=244 buy it: http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/product...p;zmap=20153432 Hope it works for you.
