rschultz
Ok so lexie was on the low residue beet pulp and the tyleson powder for almost two months. we weened her off the powder and for a week she was fine. Now the last two days back to diarrhea. So we realize the tyleson powder works I guess that tells us some kind of infection so i guess I will put her back on it. Can greys take that powder for years? Is it dangerous long term? I guess we have no choice cause that is the only thing that helped her. Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated. we havent changed anything the last two days no different treats or she didnt get into anything..ect.. Guest mandm
Tylan did not work for my greyhound, but if it it had, I would gladly have kept him on it for life. It is my understanding that is generally safe & without adverse side effects.
Batmom
AFAIK both Tylan and flagyl are often safely given for long periods of time.
