win4profit
He still wasn't eating Sunday morning, so we brought home a cheese omelette to try and entice him to eat. We chopped it up and added it to a little kibble and he was very, very interested. However, when he sniffed it he turned away. I could tell he wants to eat but the smell just turns his stomach. We gave him a Pepcid around 11:00 and then cooked up some ground beef and rice. Around noon he finally ate. We quit giving him the Rimadyl and talked to the vet today. We are going to call the orthopedic specialist tomorrow. It's funny now that I know it's his knee, it seems obvious. Here is a pic of DH and Logan napping together yesterday. Notice how he pulls his leg up tight even when he's sleeping.

CaliforniaGreys
This not eating can drive one totally NUTS!!! Hopefully the Pepcid helps and if not, maybe ask the vet to give you Cerenia. Many, including my little girl had very good success with it. silverfish
Oh, poor Logan - yes, you can see that leg isn't comfy! Jack had a lot of stomach issues with Metacam, having switched from Rimadyl which didn't help his pain - not the serious vomiting/diarrhoea/GI bleeding which would have meant immediate withdrawal, but nausea and discomfort. We recently changed again to Previcox, and he is SO much more comfortable. The vet may tell you that NSAIDs are all the same from the point of view of stomach issues, but this has not been our experience. Can you ask your vet to try a different one? At least he has a good napping partner! Sweet! Quote The plural of anecdote is not dataBrambleberry Greyhounds My Etsy Shop
